Who can enroll in GRED Institute courses?
Anyone 18 or older (or with guardian consent where required by law) may enroll. Some advanced programs list recommended prerequisites on the course page.
Do I need prior experience in GIS or programming?
Not always. Each course page lists prerequisites and difficulty. Introductory tracks assume little or no background; professional programs may expect familiarity with tools or concepts noted in the syllabus.
Can I switch devices while learning?
Yes. Progress is tied to your account. Sign in on any supported browser or device to continue where you left off, subject to fair-use and security policies.
Is there a mobile app?
You can use our responsive web experience on modern mobile browsers. If a dedicated app is available for your region, it will be linked from your dashboard or official communications.
Learning experience & certificates
How courses work, assessments, and what you receive when you finish.
Are lessons live or on-demand?
Most content is on-demand so you can learn at your own pace. Live sessions or cohort-based programs, when offered, are clearly marked on the enrollment page with schedules.
How are quizzes and projects graded?
Auto-graded quizzes give immediate feedback. Instructor- or peer-reviewed assignments use rubrics described in the lesson. Passing criteria are defined per course.
When do I receive my certificate?
After you meet all completion requirements (lessons, assessments, and any minimum scores), your certificate becomes available in your dashboard, typically as a downloadable PDF.
Can I share my certificate on LinkedIn?
Yes. Use the share options from your certificate view where available, or add the credential manually using the course title and provider name as shown on the certificate.
